Lavender ReminiscencesHer fingertips whisper across my back  And tuck themselves into my hand.  Shaken, I maintain my gaze, fixed to the portrait.  A crimson rose bleeds, dripping onto her hands,  And a sapphire moon cries, baptizing her head in tears.  Next to me, her fingers pull my cheek away to her,  And she and the portrait are one and the same.  Struck with the beauty of the paint and the being,  A single tear forms in the corner of my eye.  As I move my hand to touch hers,  It catches on a pin,  And when I take her hands and kiss her,  A tear touches her forehead,  And a drop of blood touches Lavender Reminiscences

Tears and Roses 3Tears fall down.  Roses grow up.  And somewhere in the middle they shall meet.   
Beauty knelt over the still-bare soil around the fountain. She had planted her rose seeds, and waited for them, and waited for them, and still they had not appeared. She had been wanting roses since she was 6, but Mother would not buy her seeds. "You will not take care of them," she had told Beauty many times, "And I do not have time for a rose garden. Roses take more work than other flowers, and they are thorny and stubborn." Now, finally, that she was 11, Mother had decided that she was responsible enough to grow roses, and bought her seeds Tears and Roses 3

Wow... I have been gone without announcement or anything for about 6 months now. That's a long time! Basically, I gotten eaten by school and homework and plays and musical and writing and camp and my facebook and Gaia addictions. And laziness, which has been more or less my character this summer thus far. (Aside from at camp, because camp is outside of time.)

And... I have 760 deviations on my watchlist, which, thanks to the new layout, I will actually go through. Because the thumbnails make it extraodinarily easy to delete those that I don't care enough to comment on, instead of having to load a new page to see every deviation. I LIKE IT! But don't expect me to leave extensive comments; I don't have that kind of time, and I have enough Internet addictions without the DA one returning.

And for those of you I know from home: I will try and stay in contact the rest of the summer, really I will!
